Filler Injections

The Effect

The soft-tissue fillers (injectable HA) can help fill in the lines and creases our faces collect over as we grow older, and temporarily restores a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. When injected beneath the skin, these fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of the face. They can also add fullness to the lips cheeks and also hands.

The Procedure

Hyaluronic acis (HA) is a naturally occurring protein that provides support to various parts of the human body. Injectable collagen is derived from purified bovine collagen. It is used primarily to fill wrinkles, lines and scars on the face and sometimes the neck, back and chest. The HA is injected using a fine needle inserted at several points along the edge of the treatment site.

Best candidates

Works best on thin, dry, light-colored skin, however the best candidates include those:

  • With scarring, sagging or wrinkling on the face
  • Missing some of the youthful plumpness or high contours on the face
  • In good physical health
  • Psychologically stable
  • Realistic in their expectations
